Welcome to
Swim For Life 2024
Welcome to the official home of Swim For Life, brought to you by Mens Talk. What started as a small group of men raising money for men’s mental health back in 2019, has now grown into a major annual event for the Mens Talk calendar. Each year we aim to expand our fundraising and awareness, but ultimately we want to encourage and normalise conversations around mental health and wellness and support the prevention and intervention of suicide amongst our Australian Men.
2024 marks our 6th year of running Swim For Life and we want to knock it out of the park! We’ll be hosting two swim-relay events at Stirling Leisure Centre - Inglewood this year. In our 24hr event, teams of 6 members will complete laps of 50m, while the 9hr teams, comprising 4 members, will complete laps of 25m.
This year we are setting the bar high and aiming to raise a whopping $150,000! Seeing fantastic growth in 2023, we believe with the larger venue and extra support from the community we can make this possible. Funds raised will support Mens Talk in continuing to offer community events in this space.

Event and Registration Details
This year, we're running two swim relay events at Stirling Leisure Centre - Inglewood.
24 Hour Swim Relay
- 50m Lap Length
- Sat 23 Nov 5pm - Sun 24 Nov 5pm
- Teams of 6
9 Hour Swim Relay
- 25m Lap Length

Swimmers will rotate in 15 minute intervals and laps are tallied for a team score. In addition to swimming, teams must run a mini event/fundraiser of their choosing and commit to raising a minimum of $2000 per team to help us reach our goal. Past events have included Budgy car wash, quiz nights, paint and sip events, yoga sessions, and more. After the swims conclude, be sure to stick around for the post-event catch-up, which will include presentations and celebrations. Keep pushing until the end, as there's a prize for the team that raises the most money and swims the most laps!

This year, we expect both events to be fully occupied with teams. To secure your spot, we recommend assembling your team and registering as soon as possible. Registrations close on the 16th August, 2024. The registration deadline allows us sufficient time to obtain swimwear and SFL shirts for the event, both of which are included in the registration fee of $120 per person.
Teams Announced & Donations Open
Once registration has closed, we will send confirmation emails to all team captains. Following this, the donations page will open.
